NECO releases 2022 results | How to check NECO results
The 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results have been released by the National Examinations Council (NECO).
The 2022 exercise was deemed credible by stakeholders, according to NECO Registrar Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi who made the announcement of the results on Thursday in Minna, Niger State.
Wushishi noted that 1,209,703 candidates registered for the examination with 636,327 male, representing 52.60 per cent and 573,376 female, representing 47.39 per cent.
The NECO director, however, claimed that only 1,198,412 candidates participated in the examination, with 630,180 male (representing 52.58%) and 568,232 female (representing 47.41%).
“Number of candidates with Special Needs is 1,031, with the breakdown as follows:
98 with albinism, 177 with autism, 574 with hearing impairment, and 107, visually impaired.
“Number of candidates who made Credit and above in English Language is 889,188 representing 74.89%.
“Number of candidates who made Credit and above in Mathematics is 929,140 representing 78.23%."
The Registrar reaffirmed that the Council has a long history of having zero tolerance for examination malpractice, noting that the incidence of malpractice has decreased from 2021 to 2022.
He noted that 29 Supervisors were blacklisted for various offences ranging from poor supervision, insult, aiding and abetting, during the examinations.
The NECO boss also announced that the backlog of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Certificates from 2012-2021 will soon be ready for distribution to schools.
“In the same vein, the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
certificates for 2020 and 2021 will equally be ready by the end of October 2022.
While Certificates for 2022 SSCE (Internal) would be ready three months after the release of results. Schools have one month within which to submit complaints (if any),” he said.

Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/ to enter the NECO result portal.
2. Now, Select your exam year
Click on the drop-down menu to select your examination year.
(The examination year is the year that you took the NECO exam).
3. Select exam type
Click on the drop-down menu to select your exam type, e.g., SSCE Internal (JUN/JUL).
4. Enter your NECO token
Type in the digits of your NECO token.
5. Enter your NECO registration number
Correctly input your NECO registration number.
6. Click on Check Result
Click on the green button to check your NECO result.
After completing these steps, you should see your result now.

- Visit the NECO result token page on your phone browser
- Enter your full name
- Type your correct phone number
- Enter your email address
- Type your password
- Retype your password
- Click on register
- Select verify in the email sent to you
- Login to your NECO token page
- Click on purchase token
- Enter the number of tickets, e.g., 1
- Click on pay now
- Select the I have verified the above information box
- Click on Proceed to Pay
- Click on Submit on the Remita payment page
- Select the Payment method to get your NECO token.
